Kinematics
Kinematics is the motion of objects and groups of objects without consideration to the forces that cause the motion. Displacement, velocity, time, and acceleration is all associated with the study of kinematics. the picture of the girl jumping is an example of the motion of an object. Displacement is how far the object travels from the starting point. If the object returns to the starting point after the distance is covered, the displacement is zero. Therefore, since the girl in the picture is jumping, she will end up in the same spot she started from when she lands meaning that her displacement is zero. distance equals rate x time, so the rate at which she jumps into the air times the time it takes equal. The motion of a car going a certain way or a person running is a perfect example of kinematics.

Hi Keana! I like the layout of your blog and the pictures you have up. I like the way you related the picture to kinematics and how you explained it.
