End results of the Egg Drop Lab
So good news- our device was a success! The egg didn't break or crack at all- it was perfect. What was even better was that we had to drop our device twice because it landed partially in the bushes the first time it was dropped. I think the nylon stocking was an excellent idea because the egg being secured tightly and suspended in the middle of the moving box made it hard for the egg to move or feel any great force of momentum at all. I think the cushioning also helped increase the impact time, if there was a impact time, because we didn't have a camera inside the box so we don't really know if both factors helped or if it was just the cushioning or the nylon stocking. Any how, making shock absorbent boxes are the best way to save the egg.
